Bridge on Beasley Fork, on Brush Creek. Built 1888. Still standing Feb. 26-1984 (notation on matte framing the sepia photo) (15.5 x 20.5 cm sepia colored photo mounted on a damaged matte 25 x 30 cm. This image is reproduced on page 72 of book Adams County by Stephen Kelley with caption “Beasley Fork Bridge spans Ohio Brush Creek connecting Monroe and Brush Creek Townships. Photograph taken by David I. Gardner as bridge was completed.” This Beasley Fork Road Bridge (CR1P) carries County Route 1P over Ohio Brush Creek in Adams County, Ohio. The truss was constructed in 1888, rebuilt in 1930, extensively rehabilitated in 1998, closed in 2011. It is a through truss road bridge known as a pin-connected, 12 panel Pennsylvania through truss bridge. Its longest span: 195.9 ft; Total length: 203.1 ft; wooden deck width 16.1 ft. On the span is a rusted metal plaque that partially reads “Thos. J. Shelton? according to Bridgehunter.com)
