(Amsterdam) to Ludwig Loewy (London) (typed letter in German refers to a mutual friend, R, who is very anxious. Also mentions a Rechtsanwalt Oppenheimer who R doesn’t agree with) 1939 July 18 from ? RNR The poem by an anonymous passenger describes “when the cruel war is over…” (the name of a ship mentioned in the poem is cut out. 1941 March 11 from Erna (Fyffes Line) to Wickl (Handwritten on ship’s stationery (name of ship cut out) in German describes life on board ship and the poem “Remembrance” as well as a photograph of a group of men seated at a table with faint notes Emil, Dr. H., Erni (Fyffes Line also known as Elders & Fyffes – E & F Line ran passenger service between England and tropics) 1941 May from Ella? Sichrova? (London) to Loewy (two typed letters in English writes about having just left him “only 2 hours ago” and hopes he will eat her sweets, “I love your book so much that I want to try to translate it,” mentions Eva and looking forward to seeing him with “Goulasch,” a meeting with Professor Kokoschka, lunch at “Peroquet, Leicester Square” 1941 July 3 from J.
