 Item — Box: MS0171.01, Item: 02
Identifier: MS0171.01.02

Scope and Contents

1843 Letter from John Liscom to brother Lemuel, Hinsdale, N.H. discussing the loss of the bridge at Brattleboro and suggests the possibility of getting brother Charles to arrange for a contract to build a replacement using Levi’s and Mr. Cottrell’s bridge design. John’s coal business is slow and Lemuel’s farming is dull so John proposes they could build the bridge quickly based on the Levi Liscom and Albert Cottrell (Patent No. 2,334 for a timber lattice truss) bridge design.
