1876 April 4 from L. F. Liscom (Worcester) to Dollie Liscom (no
envelope). (Letter relates in detail about a washed out railroad track
(Boston & Albany R.R.and break in a dam around Jamesville and
Worcester. Enclosed is a detailed sketch showing the railroad line, the washout and a dam.)
1877 October 27 from D. H. Andrews (Boston) to L. F. Liscom (Copy of receipt for $46.65 to settle all accounts.)
1877 November 26 Receipts from L. F. Liscom (Boston) in full of all
demands to date on the Hyde Park Bridge B & P. R.R. paid to William
Wheeler, Alfred Howard, Joseph H. Niehoff.
1878 May 31from Geo. F. Folsom (Boston Highlands) to L. F. Liscomb
(Brattleboro, Vt. c/o Mr. John L. Putnam). (Letter on Boston &
Providence Rail Road Corporation, Carpenters’ Department. Office, 1420
Tremont Street, Geo. F. Folsom, M.C. letterhead describing that the Edge
Moor Iron Co. Wilmington, Del. making figures for a bridge to be erected
at Warren, R.I. on P.W. & B. R.R. but requesting a quote from L. F.
Liscom as to figures for erecting the new and demolishing the old
structure. Plain envelope)
1878 June 20 from Parker & Countryman (Albany, N.Y.) to L. F. Liscom
(Boston). Letter is regarding Randolph vs. B & Albany RR requesting
instructions as to payment for an account named in a letter of April 16,
1877. Letterhead read Office of Parker & Countryman, Attorneys and
Counsellors at Law. Envelope has insignia of Parker & Countryman).
1878 June 28 from Parker & Countryman (Albany) to L. F. Liscom
(Hinsdale, N.H.). Note says that the “draft on New York for $43.47 being
the amount of your bill for services in Randolph case” is sent. Letterhead
reads Amasa J. Parker, Amasa J. Parker, Jr., Edwin Countryman, Attorneys
and Counsellors at Law. Envelope has insignia of Parker & Countryman).
1878 September 9 from L. F. Liscom (Brattleboro, Vt.) to Mrs L. F.
(Dollie) Liscom (North Granville, N.Y.). Letter is written on letterhead
of Office of I. N. Thorn & Son Druggists and Pharmacists tells about
erecting a bridge at Barrington for Boston & Providence RR also known
as Providence Warren & Bristol RR. There is a P.S. in pencil saying that it
will probably take him four weeks to erect the bridge. Also cautions to be
quiet about a land swap he is doing with O. G. Smith.)
1878 October 22 from D. H. Andrews (Boston) to L. F. Liscom. A
Receipt signed by D. H. Andrews “Rec’d of L. F. Liscom fifteen dollars
On account of rent of tool room from Dec 1st 1877”)
1879 October 21 from L. F. Liscom (Boston) to D. H. Andrews. A receipt
“L. F. Liscom Esq to D. H. Andrews Dr Oct 14 & 15 for Labor 13 hs 20¢
$2.60” on reverse in ink is signed D. H. Andrews 1879 Bill Labor 2.60).
