Light Rain Readings by W. T. Carpenter. Nov. 1901 Light rain, clear & cold, snow Thurs. 28, thawing (readings made Sunday thru Saturday), Jan. 1902 rain, light snow, Feb. Snow and thaw, flood Feb. 28, 1902 details, (regular measurements of Lehigh River continued thru Oct. 30, 1902 notation “Sta Base of South Pier At bottom of abutment file mark on rail above measured from top of Hand Rail of Bridge. Stations marked along hand rail.” Monocacy Creek and Canal measurements, Coal Office, Length of Chain from bottom to end of Weight on New St. Bridge gage, Soundings at New St. Bridge and Lehigh Valley R.R. Iron pin in the South pier of The New Street Bridge, near L.V.R.R. track E = 232.870; B.M. on N.W. Corner of West abutment of L.V.R.R. under grade bridge E = 233.630.
