Hooper, Paris (letter written on blue tissue paper)
1869 December 16 (Berlin) to Dear Sister re: William reporting the Dixey’s
arrival in Hamburg, now in Berlin, weather cold, Cowell is well over the
sea sickness everyone had, toured the city, inquires after family members.
1870 April 17 (Dresden) to Dear Sister re: writing to Sarah, Mr. Allen
preach, Dick and Emily marriage, Hon. John Low, Mrs. V. Hagen birthday
and excursion to Bonn, family activities.
1870 June 12 (Dresden) to My dear Sister (Sarah) re: Rich. & Emily, going
to spa in Bavaria, packing and preparing to leave for Prague and
proceeding to Munich, wants to go home, also included is a letter from
Richard Dixey who reports writing to Prissy and including a photograph,
Mrs. von Hagen invitation.
1876 November 21 from Priscilla (Marblehead) to Sarah (five page letter
on tan paper) , weather a long northeast storm, Mrs. Belknap, Jennie,
Abbott building, tell Emily her mother is daily making a visit.
