Wants to thank whoever sent the tobacco and cigars and thank Aunty and Mr. Oliver for the ginger and Papy [William Richardson] for the candy, no need to send paper, the ring that mother sent did not arrive. His appetite is good. He and his Company made up the money to send home every member of the Company that dies. He asks if she received the money he sent home. Gifford is in hospital.
