“Maier-Schiffsform” Verwertungsgesellschat M.B.H. Bremen Notes regarding the Naier Ship’s Form and its practical Results based on abstractts from Owners’ and Captain’s Reports. [1928-1930] Report contains 13 pages - 8 typed pages in report, 22 black and white photographs of assorted sizes of ships and their specifications. The Maier-Schiffsform company was formed by Erich Maier in 1927 following his father’s death. His father Fritz Franz Maier - an Austrian-Hungarian naval architect patented in 1906 an idea for a V-shaped hull with a sharp cutaway bow which was used by small steamers, trawlers, fishery and coast guard vessels. The German Navy contracted for 600 such vessels during World War II. This pamphlet reports various testimonials from captains of these ships as to their stability, speed and seaworthiness prior to World War II. Among the ships named: Weser, Freienfels, Lichtenfels, Donau, Bellona, Delia, Hercules, Isar, Helios, Hermes,Cyrnos, Weissenfels, Gleiwitz, Eisenach. , 1928 - 1930
