Columns headed The Book Shelf by Dr. Percy Hughes. Thirteen weeks of columns are included in this group covering all sorts of books published nationally or simply in nearby counties such as Hunterdon County which had hired someone to bring the county’s history up to date. The subjects are wide-ranging from fiction to all sorts of non-fiction but primarily available in the county libraries. Dating these columns is impossible as there are no dates included in the cuttings with the exception of the last column, January 2, 1947.
