1929 December 21 thanks for visit, Margaret came home yesterday, missed train connection in Buffalo, lost 11 of 15 lbs. gained abroad 1930 February 4 re: looking forward to visit with Freys, Ella married Bill Brougham who is with General Electric, Robinson in Philadelphia to see Ella off to New York 1931 February 17 re: little Linus departed in peace, Bobbie preparing for spring football practice, Robinson is taking insulin, Moravians invited him to help serve communion, Margaret passed preliminary exams for PhD in international law, Wolle in bed for 3 weeks rehearsals resumed 1931 May 19 reports blood sugar up, vision blurry, Wolle talked of Frey and wants to go and hear “Mass in B Minor” of which Frey spoke – when is it, vision is poor 1931 June 4 reports vision still poor, will give sermon at Summit Church July 19th, gave sermon in Mauch Chunk with “Y” Secretary reading for Robinson, may need Frey to read for him at Summit, Wolle in Boston hospital for observation 1931 December 7 remarks that Frey looks like a bloated millionaire, Mrs. Grace is a regular attendant at his church, will give address about the blind in Catasauqua church 1932 January 26 to Frey (director of unemployment, Y.M.C.A. Germantown) re: Warren A. Wilbur dropped dead saying goodbye to his grandchildren leaving for Florida, remarks about Frey’s “All-American Full Back” (Frey’s son, Bobbie)
