"Dear sweet daughter - Time goes on and it has been almost two months since I last heard from you. (Most of the letter discusses how to keep the boys in school at Mt. Berry - Ben doesn't like the monotony but Paul is satisfied but mother thinks both boys should finish high school at Mt. Berry, so Mary should encourage brothers to remain)...I wish you could come and see me during the holidays. I'll stay right here for I can't spare the money to go anywhere… I get so lonesome to see the sweet pretty daughter… Aff. Mamma
