1931 July 29 from Mrs. O.L. Reese to Dearest Mary

 File — Box: 0134.01, Item: 121

Scope and Contents

Has been busy all week working with peaches and tomatoes – peaches are only 25 cents a bushel. In a few days we will have watermelons and am going to make preserves. After the birthday, I will begin to make relish, provided I can get some sweet pepper, mine is a complete failure. I do these things more to kill time than any thing else – besides, I like to do it. And things are so cheap. Grandma acknowledges she is concerned about "Auntie" but says she was 60 years is Nashville and it was the spirit of the way Auntie's buriel was handled that upsets her. Sarah coming for her vacation at same time Nelson and Dewel will visit, weather is grand
