1932 Jan. 29 from Mrs. O.L. Reese to Dearest Mary

Saving my chickens until you come for your birthday. The yard is full of jonquils and the tulips are all up. I am keeping them covered at night. Of course they will bloom before time and won't be perfection. Tulips are not suppose to bloom until late in March. Have 2 hens setting, and get all the eggs I can use. Have had only one clear day this week – been pouring down rain, and bad for me – you know I can't see to sew. Proud of the Pictorial Review you have ordered for me – then I can finish a very interesting story. Love, Grandma
