1934 Aug. 21 from Mrs. O.L. Reese to Dearest Mary

 File — Box: 0134.02, Item: 227

Scope and Contents

You don't know the pleasure your letters give me and how eager I look forward for them each week. Hope you succeed in having Mrs. Pridemore (?) live with you – then you and she can have food of the right kind and cooked to suit you. I have a man here cutting grass in yard – so much rain makes it grow so fast and when newly mowed it's lovely. On the east end of the porch I have all my pot flowers. Wish the whole year could be spring and summer. Trucks of fruit of all kind, also vegetables come by every day. I have 5 fryers in the coup. My chickens and flowers are my life – and would be happy if I could see you occasionally. Love, Grandma
