Issued by the United States Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission (heading) Reprinted 1937 by U.S. Geological Survey. (lower right corner): A general map of the SOUTHERN BRITISH COLONIES in America, comprehending North and South Carolina, Georgia, East and West Florida, with the neighbouring Indian Countries. From the modern surveys of Engineerde Brahm, Capt. Collet, Monzou & Others, and from the Large Hydrographical Survey of the Coasts of East and West Florida by B. Romans. 1776. [Two insets: east Georgia, west Georgia lands ceded to the United States in 1802 by Georgia (later the land becomes Alabama and Mississippi), The Florida Stream Gulf of Florida and Great Bank of Bahama on map]. Original Georgia is outlined in red (from Atlantic Ocean to Mississippi River), eastern Georgia and ceded land also in red on insets, decoration around title also some red leaves, brown ink on ivory paper, measures 51 x 66 cm, acquired Oct 1 1938 pink ink stamp Lehigh University Library.
