New Hampshire at the time of the ratification of the CONSTITUTION, from a 1784 original in the Library of Congress at Washington. Issued by the United States Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission. An Accurate Map of the State and Province of New Hampshire in New England, taken from Actual Surveys of all the inhabited Part, and from the best information, together with the adjacent Countries, which exhibits the Theatre of this War in that Part of the World by Col. Blanchard and the Rev'd McLangdon. Engraved by Thomas Jeffreys, geographer to His Majesty (heading). [in center of map is elaborate shield inscribed: To his Excellency John Hancock, Esq. Gou. and the honourable Council of the Commonwealth of Massachussets and the Honourable Council of the State of Newhampshire. This Map of the Province of New Hampshire Humbly inscribed by Your most Obliged & most Obed't Serv. Samuel Langdon Abel Sawyer Jun'r April 1784.] Map includes Parts of New York that later become Vermont and Maine, part of Canada and the Province of Massachussets Bay, Atlantic Ocean. Map is in brown ink on ivory paper, New Hampshire and its counties outlined in green, measures 66 x 51 cm, acquired Oct 1 1938 pink ink stamp Lehigh University Library.
