Biographical / Historical
Gregory C. Farrington was appointed Lehigh’s 12th president in May 1998. He earned his B.S from Clarkson University, and A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard, all in chemistry. He was a research chemist for General Electric Company’s Corporate Research and Development Center in New York State. Before coming to Lehigh, Farrington was the dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
