Biographical / Historical

Henry S. Drinker graduated from Lehigh in 1871, a member of a class of 6, and became an active alumnus, serving on the first Alumni Association Board, and as a Trustee before becoming president of the University in 1905. He was interested in preserving the natural environment (forestry), and also involved in the formation of Army training camps through college campuses (now ROTC). He died in 1937.
