An interesting aspect of this collection is the insight it provides into the publishing process for academic publications.

Biographical / Historical

John B. Gatewood received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He was in faculty at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Lehigh University from 1978 until he retired in 2018. Gatewood studied and published in the fields of sociology and anthropology including linguistics and consumer behavior. Prof. Gatewood is one of the first faculty responsible the founding of Lehigh’s (Cognitive Science) CogSci program.

Abstract

This collection features collected published articles by Lehigh University Professor John Gatewwod and his correspondence with various publishers and reviewers during the publishing process including peer review. Collection does not include Gatewood’s unpublished reports and proprietary surveys.
