Scope and Contents
The collection consists of one album containing 80 pages with 160 remaining black and white photographs, many photographs have been removed before being given to Lehigh University. In general the album binding is in poor condition. Also tucked in the album is a dark blue felt armband with an orange ‘E’ sewn in the center (possibly ROTC related - G.C. Lee was a member of Company E in 1937 and a 1939 The New York Times article relating Lehigh’s wrestlers winning again the Eastern team title.

Biographical / Historical
Gregory Christie Lee was born 1914 in Paterson, New Jersey. He entered Lehigh University in 1933 and graduated with the Class of 1937 in Chemical Engineering. During his student days at Lehigh, he participated in a summer ROTC program at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland in 1936 and a West Chester University competition 1937. He possibly served with the U.S. Army Air Force based on his training with bombers. His subsequent career was with Lee & Hewitt Engineers & Architects, New York. He and his wife Helen Cooke Lee had three children. He died in Glen Rock, New Jersey in 2002.
