Biographical / Historical

The Bethlehem Chamber Music Society was chartered in 1952, as a group promoting the local performance of Chamber Music. For many years the Curtis String Quartet in Philadelphia, led by Max Arnoff, were the featured performers. After that group disbanded, the Chamber Music Society began contracting with other quartets, and other chamber music groups from all over the country, to provide performers.
