Biographical / Historical
Nicholas Balabkins was born in 1926, in Dunabürg, Latvia. In 1949, he earned his bachelor's degree from Göttingen, Germany, and his Masters and PhD. from Rutgers University, New Jersey. He became a U.S. citizen in 1956. He has been a member of the Lehigh University faculty in College of Business and Economics since 1962. He passed away on May 8, 2023 in Bethlehem, PA.
