1980 May 26 thanks for the check – its funds are being ploughed into the “project” searching for Dixey descendants: Sheperd Brooks, Graham Brooks who married Rosalind Sturgis Dixey, Emma Knight (see SC MS 0247.01.05.17) seems to have solved the puzzle of Ama and Emma.

1980 November 16 says with some certainty that Lewis Girdler after taken from Hano, Sweden must have been interned at Ashburton, England 1812 (proof attached Prisoners’ Memoirs, Dartmoor Prison photocopy of some pages) remarks hiring a lady that specialized in tracing sailing ships to work on R.H. Dixey, Richard Dixey, going to Riverside to spend a day with Reynolds and seeing Girdler relics.
