Edward Gallagher: Documents on Henry S. Drinker’s Presidency at Lehigh University
Articles, correspondence and biographical information on Henry S. Drinker and his presidency at Lehigh University. Collection is assembled by Prof. Edward J. Gallagher, Department of English at Lehigh University while he was teaching a course that required using primary sources at Special Collections. Prof. Gallagher based his research on the original letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Cecilia Beaux.
Hardware Scrapbook
There is a two-fold interest in this item. The actual hardware illustrated within the catalogue that was utilized as a scrapbook for some Lehigh University newspaper articles appearing in many newspapers between 1907 to 1912. The hardware illustrated in the book is now of considerable interest to antique restoration. Much of the hardware reflects the Eastlake and Art Nouveau architectural styles. The newspaper articles feature many interesting features of Lehigh’s history.

Lehigh University Presidents' Correspondence, 1866-1921
This collection includes letters written to the office of the President (some to the Secretary of the Faculty or the Registrar) between 1866 and 1921. These letters cover many aspects of "Life as President of Lehigh". Also included are sixty one "Letter Books" with the replies from the President in chronological order from 1878 to 1920.

Typescripts of speeches, many with additional penciled-in notes, given by Dr. Drinker as president of Lehigh University, as president of the American Forestry Association, and as a supporter of war preparedness and the Student Army Training Corps movement.
YMCA at Lehigh 1894-1936
This collection of correspondence reflects the activities of Lehigh’s campus Christian group which aligned itself with the international organization of the Young Men’s Christian Association. The YMCA was encouraged by the University’s President Henry S. Drinker and several professors acting as advisors however the YMCA provided its own personnel to run the operation on campus.
