Abstract An interesting 18th century logbook diary written by Alexander Harrow a commander of the British Naval Armament on the Great Lakes. His logbook relates journeys made between Fort Erie and Detroit on board various vessels. This particular diary keeps copies of his correspondence, orders for materials, land purchases, interactions with the indigenous population, military service, overseeing shipments for government supplies and civilian passengers while in service of the British government. ...

Collection of wide ranging documents related to Archibald Johnston, a prominent graduate of Lehigh University Class of 1889, noting his careers at Bethlehem Steel Corporation and as the first mayor of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The material is complimentary to an earlier received Johnston collection of cablegrams sent while Mr. Johnston represented Bethlehem Steel Company in South America.

Fackenthal established laboratories at the Durham Iron Works in Riegelsville, Pa and also in Lancaster, Pa. where mineral analysis was made of iron ores and limestone from samples sent by clients. Benjamin Lightfoot Survey Notebook

This manuscript notebook includes survey data of a road to be built between Pottsville to Shamokin (then an Indian Territory) in 18th century. It also contains detailed information on surveyor’s measurements and coordinates; descriptions of the terrain, and insight into frontier Pennsylvania and the interaction between the English settlers, militias and the native people on the Schuylkill and Susquehanna rivers of colonial Pennsylvania.
