Abstract

Primarily the musical performance programs are from the Moravian Seminary for Women’s Music Department but also a few commencement programs are included and community musical events.

Abstract

A collection items, photographs, and documents donated by Jeff Parks, an attorney and community leader in Bethlehem. This includes Parks’ personal papers, particularly concerning MusikFest and Artsquest, both of which he was a founding member. The collection also contains memorabilia from his time at Lehigh. Parks also donated the research material for his book “Stronger than Steel” Also present are family items like Bibles, personal papers, and photo albums.

Abstract Lehigh University Music Festival Collection (1949) contains 96 photographs and a scrapbook primarily devoted to the 1949 festival, although several clippings describing the 1948 and 1950 festivals are also included in the collection. The festival was produced by the students and faculty of Lehigh University, with participation from students of local colleges and other performers. Documents related to the creation of the Lehigh Music Festivals of 1948-1949: correspondence, photographs, booklets, flyers, publications, clippings, 2 albums of vinyl records of audio recordings of the actual performances. Also included are Chi Psi Fraternity directories and the Class of 1948 50th reunion files. Ralph G. Schwarz was an active and creative member of all the entities stated.
