Scope and Contents

December 1930 correspondence 1930 December 5 from Beamish (London) to Sinclair (Handwritten letter noting that J (Jerome de la Mothe) is off to Canada. Beamish mentions that he is lobbying all the important people and the House of Commons gave him a dinner party where he met Ormsly Gore discussed many things not wise to mention in letter but that the campaign to squash the Paramountcy of Native question is optimistic. The closer union matter is parochial to the paramountcy affair. Although the Government or Parties have been afraid to withdraw the White Paper, Beamish is willing to bet that there is the last to be heard of paramountcy. Beamish indicates that he is going to the continent to lobby because the French, Belgians and Portuguese are also interested in the same matter. Envelope) 1930 December 9 from L.D.
