William McCollum, Don Marquis Collection
Scope and Contents
Collection contains material from the estate of William McCollum, Jr., Lehigh 1937. It includes photocopies of letters written by Don Marquis, material about, and copies of, a “Don Marquis Letter” (a one sheet newsletter with excerpts and tidbits about Marquis), correspondence regarding these endeavors, including a trip to Lehigh where he gave a talk to the English Honorary Society in February 1981, and other correspondence. Also included are four boxes of personal material from McCollum, typescripts of many unpublished poems, and a memoir.

McCollum, Lehigh University class of 1937, executive of Tingley Rubber Co., was an avid admirer and collector of Marquis. McCollum also published the Don Marquis letter, a newsletter, from 1980 to 1982.
