Abstract

The Bible was originally acquired by a Lehigh University professor, Charles Leander Doolittle and his first wife, as a family Christmas gift. Professor Doolittle recorded family events in this book: marriages, births and deaths.The Bible contains interleaved ephemera and slips documenting important dates for the family. It also contains a draft an early poem written by Charles’ daughter, the novelist and poet, Hilda Doolittle (also known as HD).

Collection contains material from the estate of William McCollum, Jr., Lehigh 1937. It includes photocopies of letters written by Don Marquis, which were collected and published by McCollum.
