The collection includes papers from his undergraduate work at Lehigh as well as his graduate and professional work at Yale and Lehigh. The collection also includes photographs and memorabilia from his life as well as papers regarding his two year leave of absence to the Dominican Republic and his work involving the Richards Harding Davis Collection at Lehigh's Linderman Library.

The collection of photographs is a nostalgic look at fraternity life in the 1950s. Possibly it was composed and presented on the occasion of the retirement of the gentleman to whom the album is dedicated – Willie Johnson. Mr. Johnson was an African American who lived on the premises of the Beta House at least until the mid 1960s employed as general factotum.

Collection of official documents such as freshman orientation schedule, degree transcript and form letter invitations to honors societies for Charles H. Hoffman from his undergraduate years at Lehigh studying electrical engineering, 1934-38, and graduate years at MIT, 1939-40.

The material includes spotty coverage of the history of Theta Delta Chi Fraternity at Lehigh University. It includes correspondence with alumnus H.T. Morris (1899 and on), some newsletters, programs, certificates, seals, etc., and drawings and floor plans for a 1928 addition to the building.
