Abstract

A collection of the Institute's records since its founding in 1971. Includes minutes, financial statements, correspondence and materials pertaining to the symposia and other programs offered by the Institute. Also included are applications for the small grants offered by the Institute each year, and reports of the work accomplished under the grants, as well as some of the papers delivered at the symposia.

Abstract Nancy Shukaitis Papers contains records of her activism against Tocks Island Dam and for creation of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Collection includes reports, correspondence, records about conservation efforts. Besides her environmental activism, Shuakitis was interested in natural history and history of Native American in the region, she wrote "Lasting Legacy of the Lower Minisink". Abstract

This collection contains minutes of meetings, budget material, membership lists, reports of annual meetings, runs of “The Journal”, the “Zinc Sheet”, many articles, reprints. Most material falls into period 1960-1988 but includes a few items as early as 1918. The collection contains no personal or business correspondence.
