Abstract

Small collection of material reflecting a senior student’s last year at Lehigh. Mr. Chamberlain graduated in 1903 with an Engineer of Mines degree. Collection contains a metal football recording the event of a 1902 Lehigh-Lafayette football game played in Easton with a score of 6-0 - a Lehigh win. The cast metal football records the names of the team members, winning score and the menu of the victory banquet.

Scope and Contents

Collection contains correspondences, press releases, lists, forms, and photographs all regarding the honorary degrees and alumni awards of Lehigh University.

Abstract

This collection is the original university archives that contains mostly publications of the offices, students, and alumni. The collection is shelved in the Bayer Galleria, Linderman Library, Room 342. The collection was based on a card catalog system. The Epitome, The Brown and White, Alumni Bulletin, Course Catalogs, Faculty Minutes, Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes, etc. were all originally cataloged in this system.

Collection of fundraising related documents compiled by development officer Susan Vengrove about her involvement with specifically Zoellner Arts Center (1997) and the renovation of Linderman Library (2005-2007) at Lehigh University.

Abstract Jacob Blaustein (1892-1970) was a Lehigh University student who was a member of the class of 1913. He left prior to graduating in order to help his father run the new business, the American Oil Company, created in 1910. Blaustein eventually became an industrialist, diplomat, and philanthropist. Blaustein organized a series of lectures beginning in 1965, which brought annually a statesman of renown to speak about an international topic. Abstract This collection is composed of six original building contracts, six photocopies of the contracts, two proposals for building improvements and 22 building plans for the alterations of 1944 and 1955 and 15 blueprints of original building dated 1910 which are stained and with tattered edges and filed separately due to size.
